At Garden Annexes, we manufacture our annexes ourselves using our own modular building system. The majority of the construction takes place in our factory, with individual components manufactured and prepared before the annexe arrives at your property.

One of the biggest advantages of modular manufacture is that it significantly reduces the amount of work that needs to take place on site.

Traditional construction methods can involve trades working at your property for an extended period. That additional site time inevitably carries a cost.

By completing much of the work in our factory, we can reduce the time our teams need to spend at your property. This helps us control labour and installation costs while also reducing disruption at home.

Factory manufacture also allows us to work to a consistent system.

Rather than treating every annexe as an entirely new building project, we use established construction methods and manufacture the components required for each particular model and size in a controlled environment.

Your annexe can still be configured to suit your requirements, but the underlying modular system allows us to manufacture it efficiently.

More predictable annexe prices

Modularity doesn't just help reduce costs. It also makes those costs much easier to predict.

Because we know the components, materials and manufacturing requirements associated with each model and size, we can be much more specific about what your annexe is going to cost.

Every project is slightly different, of course, but our modular approach enables us to provide a clear turnkey price based on the annexe and specification you choose.

Does modular mean compromising on the annexe?

No. Modular refers primarily to how we manufacture and assemble the building, rather than suggesting that every annexe has to be identical.

Different sizes, layouts and specifications can be accommodated within the system. The advantage is that we can provide that flexibility without abandoning the efficiencies that come from factory manufacture.
