“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Garden Annexes. Right from the start, everyone we dealt with was patient, considerate, and genuinely caring, which made such a difference with a decision of this size.

For us, this wasn’t just a building project. It was about moving my mum from our 3-bed family home of almost 50 years into a 1-bed annexe in my sister’s garden. This was a huge step, and we really appreciated the time and understanding we were given. Lauryn, who guided us through the design stage, was amazing. She knew how big a change this was for us, gave us space to talk things through (and even change our minds a few times!), and never made us feel rushed. Her patience and empathy were outstanding.

Once we agreed on the design, the build itself couldn’t have gone more smoothly. From digging the foundations to handing us the keys, it took just 4 weeks. Aiden, who looked after the construction, was fantastic. He kept us updated every step of the way, answered all our questions quickly and clearly, and made sure we always knew what was happening. Even the small snagging bits afterwards were handled promptly and without fuss.

The team who worked on site were brilliant – not just skilled at what they do, but also polite, tidy, and genuinely nice people to have around. It really shows that Garden Annexes use their own staff rather than subcontractors, because the quality and attention to detail was excellent from start to finish.
One of the best things was that they took care of absolutely everything.

From the lawful development certificate to the design, the build, plumbing, electrics, and fitting out the kitchen and bathroom. We didn’t need to hire anyone else, which took so much of the stress away.

Moving home can often be overwhelming, but thanks to Garden Annexes this part of the process wasn’t stressful at all. My mum has now been living in her annexe for over a month, and she is so happy there. It already feels like home.
